We first connected at the Denton Country Club Ladies Shopping Day, where Kelly shared that she’d been searching for the perfect black gemstone ring—a bold, custom piece that would reflect her personal style and make a statement. She mentioned loving one of my previous One of a Kind designs, the Illiana Ring, and hoped to create something similar—but entirely her own.

From there, her custom jewelry journey began.

I sourced several stone options with strong presence and natural elegance, and when I showed her a striking square-cut hypersthene gemstone, she immediately knew it was the one. Known for its metallic sheen and grounding energy, hypersthene is a rare and powerful stone—perfect for a custom statement ring.

During her design consultation, Kelly selected a wide, hand-embossed sterling silver band with delicate scrollwork for a rustic yet refined feel. To finish the design, she chose a twisted wire bezel that frames the stone beautifully and adds just the right amount of dimension.
